    The Grapevine (4/18/16): Open House

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the weekend.

TNA may finally be going to the highest bidder:

    • Is Dixie Carter's stake in TNA about to get sold? Apparently, changes are going to be made soon and the company will be sold to a group in order to remain afloat. TNA is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with some investors. The favorites to make the deal have people with TNA who have some experience with wrestling. Dixie is trying to negotiate a deal that will still keep her control of the company intact, but one way or another the company will be sold. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: There might be hope yet. Whatever you do, new investors, take away control from Tita Dixie!

    • Adam Rose and Konnor's Wellness Policy-related suspensions are both their second strikes, with their first strikes previously unannounced. Rose previously violated the policy back in 2013, while Konnor violated it back in 2006, as a member of the Deep South Wrestling roster. Since both were developmental wrestlers at the time of their first violations, their suspensions weren't announced. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: That's quite a shame. We never thought Wellness Policy violations were still possible in 2016, considering the general shape the WWE roster is in: smaller than it was on average a decade ago. For the sake of the roster's depth, and especially for Rose and his kid, we hope there isn't a third strike.

What do you think? Do you think a new deal can help save TNA's fortunes? Let us know what you think in the comments!
