The Grapevine (3/18/16): A Broken Bray

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the night.

We have some news on Bray Wyatt:

    • The patriarch of the Wyatt Family is apparently suffering from a "significant" back injury. This was the main reason why his match versus Brock Lesnar was changed to a handicap match involving Luke Harper. He seems to have suffered the injury sometime last week, when he wrestled his last matches. He won't be out of action too long, however, as the company reportedly has big plans for him to be a top heel after WrestleMania to feud with guys like Roman Reigns and Brock. The Wyatt Family doesn't have a WrestleMania match yet. (Source: WON, Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: Another one bites the dust, but we're glad that this injury isn't too dire. As for the plans to be a top heel, however, we'll believe it when we see it.

    • We reported earlier this week that Triple H and Kurt Angle met at the Arnold Sports Festival at Columbus, Ohio—it's apparently not true. Both men were at the event, but were not able to speak to or meet with each other at all.  (Source: WON)

We say: Too good to be true, indeed. Definitely sounded like a Meltzer concoction that served RAW being in Pittsburgh this week.

What do you think? Could you ever see Bray Wyatt as a top heel? Let us know what you think in the comments!
