The Grapevine (1/22/16): Some Good News, and Some Bad News

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the Grapevine! This is our daily post rounding up all the interesting rumors from the wild, wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

The saga of Daniel Bryan trying to get cleared has taken a new twist:

    • Daniel Bryan has been cleared to wrestle... by doctors from UCLA. These are obviously not WWE's doctors, who ultimately need to be the ones to clear him so that he can return to the ring. That makes two sets of neurologists already allowing him to come back; Bryan did say that if two doctors did not clear him, he would stop wrestling. We'll keep you updated on when (or if) WWE's Dr. Joseph Maroon finally clears him. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio, Wrestling Inc)

We say: If Bryan doesn't make it in the Royal Rumble match, let the conspiracy theories fly, and fly harder.

    • A possible full 2016 Hall of Fame class list has apparently been leaked. Going in with Sting this year seem to be JBL and the Fabulous Freebirds (as rumored previously), former WWE Women's and Cruiserweight Champion Jacqueline Moore, Charles Wright (aka The Godfather), and Regis Philbin for the celebrity wing. (Source: WhatCulture)

We say: We don't mind the list to be honest (although Jackie Moore seems like a random choice for the Diva induction, and we're sad that there's no Japanese induction) but Regis? We couldn't land a better celeb this year?

What do you think? Do you think Daniel Bryan is making it to the Rumble match this Sunday? Will you be showing up to the Royal Rumble viewing party at Skinny Mike's on Monday morning? Let us know what you think in the comments!
