Jeff Hardy Won't Be Returning To WWE

After their famously botched attempt to sign AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows, there's some good news for Tita Dixie and the rest of TNA as they attempt to regain their momentum on POP TV.

Just this morning, Dixie Carter just announced that multiple-time world champion and extreme icon Jeff Hardy has re-signed with the promotion.

Hardy, whose contract was set to run out in February 2016, which sparked the usual rumors of him potentially returning to the WWE, gives the company some much-needed name value and a proven ring performer to help transition the next generation of stars into bigger roles. And while he's been hampered with a major knee injury in the past year that will require reconstructive surgery and a change to his working style, he can still fill in as an ambassador for the brand and help keep the resurgent TV ratings on the rise.

This is a great PR move for TNA, which has been in major cost-cutting lately, including the release of the beloved masked Filipino talent Manik.

Don't mess this up, TNA. We're kind of bummed we won't get the chance for WWE match-ups like Hardy versus Dean Ambrose or Neville, but if this helps keep competition thriving, we're all for it.

Do you think re-signing Jeff Hardy was a good move by TNA? Would he have been better off letting his contract run out and moving back to the WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
